Puck walked to the chair and had a seat, watching Loki idly. "I'd say you're doing well so far." he assured the other with a grin. "She wants to make sure you're being treated well, and I in turn want to treat you well. It's a combination that works together."

Puck sat back in the chair and gave a thoughtful hum. "Much like a trickster god and a fae I know, if you can imagine it."

"I think I can. And I'm glad it does work well." Loki replied, moving to pour for them both. "Now, I do think you'll like this, as I was able to locate mead. Hopefully none of this is too sweet for you, but I do confess myself to a sweet tooth." In the future, Loki was pondering adding cheese to compliment the sweets and finding a nice wine or mead as well.

"I want to treat you well too. I'm not....used to having actual friends. So as part of that, I'd want to treat you well. Add to it that you are my partner as well, and it's doubly so." And there was more, but Loki was still trying to figure out that part.

"Wonderful, I was worried I'd need to draw a diagram." Puck joked before smiling at Loki's comments. "It should be fine." And even if it was too sweet, Puck would drink it anyway in the spirit that it'd been given in.

"Then we'll treat each other well, and go from there." Puck said resolutely before he lifted his cup in a toast. "To treasures." he said with a playful grin. A drink was had and Puck's eyes widened a bit. The mead was sweet, but not overly so. But also Puck had never had mead itself, so the combination of honey and alcohol caught him off guard. He looked at the cup for a minute and then took another drink around a chuckle.

"It's much different than I was expecting!" Puck remarked after the second, as he looked over the rim of the cup to Loki.

Loki held up his own cup to toast. "Skål, to treasures." He took a drink himself, but was watching Puck's reactions more. But the other seemed pleased, and Loki chuckled a bit when he took the second drink. "It would seem in a good way though. Mead and Wine were what were common in Asgard." Loki moved to sit on the edge of his bed, one leg crossed casually over the other. "I wanted to make sure you got to taste it though, since you said you'd never had it."

"Wine is more common in Avalon, but nothing honey based." Puck had another drink, giving a contented sigh. "Come to think on it, honey is mostly used for desserts if anything." Puck watched as Loki crossed his legs and grinned before he helped himself to one of the cakes. Taking a bite and chasing it with mead, Puck nodded and caught himself before he could speak with his mouth full.

Once he'd chewed and swallowed, he nodded to the cake and the cup. "Are these the kinds of snacks you'd have in Asgard? Because I would have to struggle not to have these often." A grin. "The company is better than both, but they're all working well."

"The cakes not as much, as these are designed as dessert cakes. But I'll see if I can't get a close to Asgardian meal together sometime for us." Loki was pleased that the fae was enjoying though. "But feasts were common, and we were, as the saying goes, the types who worked hard and played hard. We partied hard, but we trained hard as well."

"I'd like that." Puck said simply with a nod. "There are feasts in Avalon, and formal dinners it seems every night on Earth depending on where you look. But I'm interested in the differences between what we know." Puck had some more of the cake and mead, looking more amused than anything else. It really was a new experience, food wise.

"Most feasts in Avalon are around acknowledging Oberon and Titania, which I doubt is any kind of surprise. But it's an excuse to have wine and celebrate, so-" Puck shrugged. "I tried not to complain when they'd happen."

"Our feasts were for holidays, or to battle honors." Loki said simply. "Celebrations of new birth, and especially for weddings." Like any people really. "Would that I could show you Valaskjálf, where I grew up." A bit of a sad memory for all that Loki was fond of it too.

"I would love to see Avalon too. Though I do not promise to polite to your rulers, so perhaps better I never go." Loki might be polite, if it suited him. He might not. He was protective of Puck already.

Puck tried to picture it and nodded. "Most of the wedding celebrations I've been to have been on Earth." he said as he finished his glass of mead and the cake.

"I'd prefer you not murdered at best, so yes it'd be better if you didn't visit. As much as I'd enjoy showing you around." That protection ran both ways, it seemed. Loki would be lucky if Oberon simply killed him for any disrespect. Puck quickly pushed the idea of that happening out of his mind and went to refill his cup, tilting the bottle towards Loki in question.

"A good point, and I'd be a fool to insult and go after a ruler on his own land like that. Especially if he's a fae." Which could beg the question of why he was scheming against Vaeros, except that Loki did not believe he was the 'ruler' of this land.

To the question about another cup, Loki shook his head. He had a bit of mischief in mind, but he wasn't letting Puck in on it yet. Instead he took a long drink from his own cup, then moved over to where the other had settled. Leaning down, and tilting Puck's head up, he kissed the other and shared the mead that way.

"You would be, yes." Puck agreed. He loved giving Oberon grief, but Puck could get away with it via his position in the court and the abilities to back up that bravado. An outsider doing the same would be considered a quick target for retribution. Even if Loki was charming.

Puck sat the bottle back upright as Loki declined and watched as Loki had another drink. As Loki approached and tilted Puck's head up, Puck blinked in confusion before Loki simply fed him some of the drink via kiss.

Opening his mouth when he realized what was happening so he didn't risk choking or coughing, Puck drank the mouthful of alcohol as he returned the kiss, leaning into it. Puck also had never been fed anything via kiss, so his cheeks were a bit tinged. Not that he minded in the slightest.

A dose of mischief and alcohol, it turned out, made for a splendid combination.

Once the drink was gone, Loki held the kiss for a bit longer. One hand came up to stroke Puck's hair back affectionately, as it was broken and Loki smiled. "I'm sure I'll need a refill in a moment, but that was just for fun first." He hadn't moved too far away, still with one hand at Puck's hair and the other tilting his chin up. Inwardly, he was amused by the blush and pleased to have caused it.

As the kiss was broken, Puck found his voice after a few seconds. "It was fun, yes." he answered with a chuckle. "I can't say I've had that done before." Puck reached up and idly touched his own lips, noting they felt warm. Which probably helped the alcohol, all things considered. Puck watched Loki for a moment and then looked to the bottle of mead. "A- Anyway. Help yourself, of course. I'm a guest here first."

Oh that was just too adorable, and Loki leaned in for another quick kiss. Amused, happy, enjoying Puck's company and wanting to share that affection. It was kept brief though, before Loki pulled back entirely. Snagging one of the sweet cakes himself, as he moved back to sit on his bed with the cup on the side-table.

"We learn from each other. From what I understand that's a good thing in a relationship. That you should compliment and learn from each other." It's said a bit shyly, mostly because Loki was trying to sound authoritative. But he had no direct experience with this.

Puck chuckled as Loki pulled away after a second kiss and made himself comfortable again. He picked up on the shy yet authoritative tone and smiled. "No, you understand correctly, and I'd say we're doing that very well."

Puck busied himself with another sip of his mead, that blush starting to fade out. "So gold stars for both of us." he chuckled. "Not unlike honey, actually."

"I mean, I could do gold stars if you wanted." Loki said with an answering chuckle. Sweet cake in one hand, he actually made a motion like he was gathering something in his fist of the other. Then held that up, as if he was releasing something... Little golden-lights with a hint of green at the edges floated up and out to cover the ceiling.

"Oh?" Puck watched as Loki managed to do that with one hand, both impressed and amused at the gathering part. As the lights blanketed the ceiling, Puck laughed softly and then smiled at Loki.

"I would tell you to stop being charming, but I may as well as the sun to stop making heat for all that would do." There was another sip of mead. "So I won't." Puck winked at Loki over the rim of his cup.

"It is one of the traits I'm best known for, thank you." Loki said with a smile at the wink. No blush, but he the smile was genuinely pleased. "The charm is also not at all an act where you're concerned. At least, not unless we're both hamming it up for a show." Because it was important Puck know that.

Puck sat his cup down and nodded. "Good, I'd hope it wasn't." But the clarification was a bit heartwarming. It wasn't just the mead and company. "And I'm glad to see I can still pick up on traits shown by others. It's one of my many talents." There was a playful grin.

"Even if I'm not so versed in others."

"Well, we teach each other, I think." Loki responded, after having some of the sweet cake. "I certainly appreciate that we keep surprising each other, too. That's usually hard to do with me." That smile remained genuine though, with a hint of shyness. No acts, just Loki trying to let himself be a bit vulnerable. To show that Puck was important, besides tell.

Puck finished his cup and smiled at the shyness that showed up. Another surprise, it seemed. The vulnerability was appreciated but Puck would be lying if he said he didn't find it cute. He stood and picked up the bottle along with his cup, moving to sit next to Loki.

"Well, I'm quite glad that I'm not boring. You're also quite a good teacher-- I'll have to match your abilities."

It was a decent sized bed, considering how tall Loki was. He moved over easily enough to let Puck come join him. "You haven't been boring since we met. Even Owen, is not boring." Loki fiddled with his sweet cake a bit, breaking off some more to nibble and offering the other to Puck. "You challenge me in good ways, which was shown at the ball. I'm not used to being a teacher though, although I'm helping Luz with her glyphs, and teaching Eilonwy and Kaiba runes. As an alphabet at least, and going to work more with Eilonwy on her mental defenses."

Puck took the offered cake and had some of it. "For someone not used to it, you're certainly acting otherwise." As Loki ran down the list of people he was teaching, Puck gave a good natured chuckle and leaned in to give him a kiss. "I'm sure you'll do well with all of those challenges, especially considering you did so well with mine at the ball." Which had been an improve as much as it had been a fun challenge to each other.

"Owen simply looks like he's boring, you're right."

The kiss was unexpected, but very nice, and Loki leaned into it. A bit sad it had been so brief too, but he appreciated what Puck was saying. "They're all intelligent and clever people, which makes it fun." The ball challenge had been a delight really. Also a delight to find that they were alike in using it as a cover. Hopefully Puck also was surprised to find that it had become something else entirely, because Loki was. "I don't think he looks boring so much as he is very focused. He does not hide what he wants to do or be, and is very obvious in what he's presenting to others."

Closing his eyes, Loki moved to lean his forehead against Puck's own. "He does have your handsome face though, if one looks hard enough."

"Good." Puck answered softly. Puck had been surprised by the swing from a cover story to actual feelings of love. But where Loki might have been more surprised that it had happened at all; Puck was more surprised at how Loki had gone along with it in the first place. Puck's feelings were more intense by nature of what he was but he did love Loki in a variety of ways. As Loki complimented Owen and used Puck's forehead as a pillow, Puck smiled.

The want for more physical affection hadn't gone unnoticed. Puck adjusted his position and leaned forward. "A bit of a lure, if his competence doesn't draw attention then his looks would fill in that gap. All planned, I can assure you. Now--" Puck cleared his throat and when he spoke it was back in the Romanian accent he'd put on.

"If I remember a certain trickster god's words from a while ago, you mentioned expecting to be ravished." There was a gentle kiss to his neck. "Would you like that now, or later?"
