[OOC: I was thinking of a version of the film Liar Liar, mostly because of the trickery and clever-word play of it, along with the wishes aspect. Here

"With all of the word play and tricks involved, I'm actually a little shocked it has such a happy ending! But I'm still getting used to humans enjoying stories with magic elements, so what do I know?" Puck laughed again. "What a fun story!" He clapped. "Both well told and well acted. My compliments! Would you like to hear something in return? Or something else?"

"So long as I can keep cuddling with you, you can surprise me." Because that was quite nice and Loki wanted to continue doing that.

His voice was clear, delicate and equally robust. The lyrics hit him a little harder than the last time he had performed the song, and Puck respected that by putting all of his energy into the performance. By the third stanza he had stopped fighting the complete wave of emotions coming along for the ride. The song was about the highest form of unconditional love one could know and often pointed to any number of deities in most human mythology. Even the word play of caritas being derived from the word for a romantic partner fit this whole situation like a glove. That he was singing to an actual god added a layer. Puck felt like his heart was going to break from the sheer weight of love he felt, and put behind each line.
Puck continued to sing, and by the end of the song he was crying, but managed to finish it on the note required. Puck slumped back to rest against Loki as he caught his breath with a tired laugh. Tears streaked his face and he managed a playful smile as he found his voice again.
"I think that was enough of one." Puck said as he looked up at Loki.

As Puck slumped, Loki caught him and cradled him gently. One hand coming up to brush his hair soothingly, and he leaned in to nuzzle the other comfortingly until Puck pulled back to look at him. Blue-green eyes were suspiciously brighter themselves, though no tears fell. His face though, showed many things but most prominently, a confused joy and happiness.
"I think you outshone me there, my friend." Honest, voice low and full of that same confused joy and happiness.

"One of my hidden talents. A jester-- or one close to it, needs to know how to do some things very well at first." Which had just been lesson one of being a performer. Puck noted the emotions Loki had on display and smiled again.
"Oh? Well, that wasn't my intention, but I'm glad you enjoyed it." Puck paused for a moment. "I did mean it, before you ask. That probably colored the performance nicely." Puck took a breath and idly wiped at his eyes again, though he wasn't actively crying.

But his tone softened after the joke. "You deserved at least that much for everything."

"I should get on insulting your favorite food, then. Just to take the edge off of my kindness." he joked back. "But I won't, because you do deserve it. You've been nothing but, I'm repaying you accordingly."
Puck moved one of his hands and pointed to his ears. "Fae. Not just a fan of high fantasy literature, dressed like a character." The hand went back to cuddling.

Puck smiled. "But I'm not most people, and if this mischief god I've found myself with needs to hear how good you are at things, I can oblige."

It was all teasing and affection, but also with layers of truth.

There were some layers, but some plain truths just being shared in return.

Puck moved one of his hands up to idly trail in the ends of Loki's hair. "Or maybe not, since I'm a trickster as much as you are."
